Types of Medical Marijuana

At Columbia Care New York, we offer the following formats of medical marijuana product.Medical marijuana formats offered at Columbia Care New York include sublingual tincture, vaporization cartridges, and capsules (coming soon).

  • Sublingual Tinctures
    • Concentrated tinctures are administered under the tongue and absorbed through the mucosal membranes.
  • Vaporization Cartridges
    • Vaporization Cartridges are administered through a vaporization pen and absorbed in the lungs.
  • Capsules (coming soon)
    • Capsules are administered by swallowing and absorbed in the digestive system

Medical Marijuana Products are available in a number of formulations based on the THC:CBD Ratio.

  • High THC:Low CBD
    • High THC/Low CBD sublingual tinctures, vaporization cartridges, and capsules are commonly used for, but not limited to: severe pain, nausea, vomiting, appetite stimulation, sleep aid.
  • Equal THC:CBD
    • Equal THC/CBD sublingual tinctures, vaporization cartridges, and capsules are used for, but not limited to: mild pain relief, neuropathic pain, nausea, vomiting, appetite stimulation, inflammation, anxiety, muscle spasms.
  • Low THC:High CBD
    • Low THC/High CBD sublingual tinctures, vaporization cartridges, and capsules are commonly used for, but not limited to: neuropathic pain, inflammation, anxiety, seizures/epilepsy, muscle spasms.
